So, Colorado can afford a new football stadium at CSU-Pueblo, $20 million on athletics at CSU, $8 million for a wildlife bridge, and $96,000 to Ward Churchill just to rub salt in the wounds. GO AHEAD, BILL RITTER, TELL ME HOW I NEED TO PAY MORE TAXES.

It’s about time somebody (The Gazette) finally exposes Ken Salazar for being a self-serving pawn of the enviro-nuts! Oh sure, he covers his tracks by occasionally teaming up with John McCain or some East Coast Republican, but Ken Salazar is all about what’s good for … Ken Salazar.

The Dems send out an effective mailer (deceptive or not, it delivers the intended message in a powerful way) and the Republican’s response is to whine about how someone’s name is misspelled??

This is exactly why we got our clocks cleaned in ‘04 and ‘06 and why we’ll lose again in ‘08 unless someone figures out how to get a winning campaign message across.

The Democrats have obviously figured it out, why can’t we?

Democrats have also figured out that as long as they have our campaign finance laws stacked against business and in favor of labor, they will win every pivotal election.

Republicans keep fighting with one arm tied behind their backs and wondering, “Gee, why do we keep getting our butts kicked?”

Oh for Pete’s sake, the biggest problem in education is spelled C-E-A! The teachers union has two objectives: 1. Keep the dues coming in by keeping teachers agitated. 2. Keep kids dumb so they’ll have no idea what made America great for the first 200 years.

Will someone (anyone!) now PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop and realize that despite Amendment 23 mandated spending increases and numerous local tax increases for the schools the CSAP scores still suck. Could it be that the problem is something other than school expenditures??? Maybe we need to stop, the next time the school districts ask for yet another tax increase, and ask, “I voted for your tax increase last time and the time before that and the time before that, what exactly are you doing with the money? And why am I not seeing any improvement?”
